MosquitoMate was founded in 2010, based on ‘Wolbachia’ technology invented and patented by the University of Kentucky’s Department of Entomology, MosquitoMate’s leadership and scientific teams are recognized worldwide for their innovation in mosquito control and an ability to deliver biotechnology-based problem solving for mosquito abatement districts, municipalities, individual businesses, and homeowners.  Our current work is focused on addressing deficiencies in existing mosquito control methods, developing species-specific approaches for controlling invasive mosquito species and mosquito-borne diseases.
